For Women, Children & Families

While having a healthy pregnancy and getting a good start to parenting are critical first steps, one of the greatest barriers to the health and success of the families we support is an economic one.

The women we work with have an intrinsic desire to be good mothers and to provide well for their families. However, many of them are still learning what a healthy family looks like and are experiencing the paralysing impact of generational cycles of poverty. They struggle to see hope for their future, and they lack the basic skills and education needed to obtain and maintain gainful employment so they can provide financially for their family. 

Many of the women we support do not have the confidence or resources to seek higher education. They need high levels of flexibility and family support as they learn and grow, which is not offered through traditional education programmes.

Nurture Families is in a unique position to help women move seamlessly from their first steps in our pregnancy support programme to the next steps needed to work towards self-sufficiency and stability.

Our expanded programmes will provide job experience and workforce training, while retaining critical wraparound services of case management, mentorship, and key programmes that focus on developing life skills and mindful parenting. 

At Nurture Families we are creating a holistic ecosystem of support. We work across three main programme areas:

-Pregnancy support

-Parenting and life skills

-Job training and workforce development

We deliver these programmes through an integrated approach, working across health, education and business. This holistic ecosystem of support empowers women to be able to transform their lives - for themselves, their babies, and their community.

We are now taking the important next steps to grow our impact and further develop our programmes.

Our vision is for a new centre to become a place that will seamlessly embrace the tangible needed skills of job training and workforce development with the intangible social and emotional supportive services necessary to holistically strengthen the lives and families of at-risk women.

We are seeking a local semi rural site in Worcestershire that will have multiple uses across the suite of programmes we offer at Nurture Families.
